The Starfish Children’s Fund flagship fundraiser was a great success. The Weston High School students took school buses to the prom, generously donating their limo money to our cause.
Students at Weston High School, Amy Marks, Kelli Marks, Molly Anderson, Julianne Funk and Shana McCann, organized the second annual Dance-A-Thon at Rain nightclub in Norwalk, CT. Over 200 students attended, raising $7,000 in a single night.
Thirteen year-olds Erin Miller, Sarah Lyle, and Megan Zwitter started a Starfish Cookbook at their school in Atlanta, Georgia. Half of the proceeds will go towards a local Atlanta charity, while the other half benefit The Starfish Children's Fund.
Emily Hargrove and Breezi Harrell, students at Bleyl Jr. High School in Houston, Texas put together the very first Starfish Cookbook. Their classmates submitted over 120 recipes, and all proceeds will go towards The Starfish Children's Fund.
Weston High School students held a sale of Indian goods in Weston, Connecticut, raising over $7,000 in one day!
This sale of goods brought home from India was held in Nantucket, Massachusetts. It was incredibly successful, raising over $17,000 in one weekend!
Students at the Dalton School in New York City held their own Dance-A-Thon at a local nightclub donating all proceeds to the Starfish Children’s Fund.
Ali Shapiro of Weston High School organized a fundraiser with her fellow students at Rain nightclub in Norwalk, CT, raising over $16,000 for The Starfish Children’s Fund.
Nicholas Lechich, Stephanie Lechich, Julian Weller, and Julian Brody, students at the Dalton School in New York City, organized a fundraising concert featuring The Nuff Brothers (of Blues Brothers fame), Pharmacy, and their school’s high school a capella choir.
The Starfish Children’s Fund signature fundraiser was a huge success on prom night. We sincerely thank Red Bull for their support and everyone who participated in our first full-scale fundraiser!
The students of Stephanie Lechich’s 6th grade history class in Franklin Lakes, NJ class raised several thousands dollars for our cause!
Kelli & Amy Marks, students of Weston High School, donated the profits of their annual crafts sale to The Starfish Children’s Fund. They sold their designs on the town green while members of the Starfish Children’s Fund had a BBQ to raise money.
Christie and Jackie Klauberg of Greenwich Academy have raised over $3,700 with the help of their peers. All donations will go directly to the Starfish Children’s Fund.
Limos For Lives 2007 was a great success! Close to 200 Weston High School students took coach buses to the prom, raising $8,700 for The Starfish Children’s Fund.
The Weston High School chapter of The National Honor Society raised funds for SCF by selling balloons for the WHS graduation.
Breezi Harrell and Emily Hargrove raised $1,500 for SCF with a kickoff to summer Surf Party. 150 kids came out to celebrate the end of the school year with dancing, movies, food, and drinks.
The employees of Darvonda Nurseries have raised over $2,700 for SCF through the Darvonda Dollar Program.
For the past three years, the 6th grade classes of Franklin Avenue Middle School in Franklin Lakes, NJ have raised $7,000 for SCF. A special awards ceremony was held at the end of the school year honoring the students who participated with a special Starfish Service Award.
